About Spotlight

What is Spotlight Studio?

Spotlight Studio is an Auckland-based content studio working with real estate agents, agencies, developers and property businesses. We help clients present properties, showcase their work and build recognisable brands through photography, video, social content and creative strategy.

What makes Spotlight different?

Spotlight combines property industry experience, a consistent creative team and practical campaign tools. Clients can work with one team across listing content, personal branding and ongoing marketing, with Campaign Manager bringing booking and campaign administration together.

Our approach considers both the finished content and the experience of getting it made: clear communication, organised production and care for the people involved.

Our approach to listing campaigns

How does Spotlight approach a property listing?

Spotlight considers the property, the agent and the campaign together. We help shape a package around what makes the home interesting, who the campaign needs to reach and how the content will be used.

Photography, video, aerial imagery, floor plans and social content each have a role. The aim is to create a coordinated set of assets that presents the property clearly and gives the agent useful material throughout the campaign.

Does Spotlight use the same approach for every property?

The production standard stays consistent, while the creative approach can change. A family home, an apartment and a lifestyle property have different stories to tell. We tailor the content and deliverables to suit the property, its audience and the agent’s marketing goals.

How does listing content support the agent’s brand?

Every listing is also an opportunity for potential vendors to see how an agent markets property. Spotlight considers the agent’s presentation and style alongside the home, helping each campaign contribute to a recognisable body of work.

Why does the vendor experience matter?

The production team represents part of the agent’s service. Clear communication, considerate behaviour in the home and a well-organised shoot all contribute to the vendor’s experience.

Spotlight’s emphasis on a consistent creative team helps build familiarity with agents, their preferences and the standard their vendors expect.

What does Spotlight create for property listings?

Spotlight offers property photography, listing videos, aerial photography and video, floor plans, twilight photography and social media content. Packages can be tailored to the property and its campaign requirements.

The Unboring Agent Program — UAP

What is the Unboring Agent Program?

The Unboring Agent Program, or UAP, is Spotlight’s ongoing personal branding and content programme for real estate agents. It helps agents build a presence that continues between property listings, giving their audience more opportunities to understand who they are and what they bring to the market.

How is UAP different from listing content?

Listing content introduces a property. UAP introduces the person behind the listings: their personality, knowledge, perspective and connection to their market.

The two work together. Listing campaigns demonstrate how an agent markets homes, while UAP helps people become familiar with the agent they may choose to work with.

What does UAP include?

The programme includes a monthly content framework, a brand-focused shoot and four reels. Spotlight helps guide the ideas, planning and creative direction around the agent’s goals and market.

What does the content focus on?

Content is shaped around the agent. Topics might include local knowledge, practical advice, common buyer and seller questions, and the agent’s approach to their work.

Who is UAP for?

UAP suits agents who want a more consistent presence, stronger personal branding and support with deciding what to create. Agents do not need an established following or a bank of ideas before joining.

Our partnership approach with real estate offices

How does Spotlight work with real estate offices?

Spotlight works as an ongoing creative partner for the office and its agents. We get to know the people, brand and marketing priorities so we can support both day-to-day listing campaigns and the office’s wider content needs.

The relationship can span property marketing, individual agent branding, team content, recruitment and ongoing content strategy.

Why work with one creative partner across the office?

An ongoing relationship gives the creative team context. Familiarity with the office’s standards, people and preferences helps make briefs clearer and production more consistent.

It also gives the office a team to approach as its needs change, whether that means a new listing, an agent building their profile or an office-wide campaign.

Can agents retain their own identity?

Our approach considers both the office brand and the individual agent. The aim is to create a coherent standard of presentation while allowing each person’s personality and strengths to come through.

Does Spotlight support marketing beyond listings?

Yes. Spotlight’s work extends to agent marketing, office recruitment, education and ongoing content strategy. That allows the relationship to support the office’s broader goals as well as its current properties.

What does being a partner mean to Spotlight?

It means understanding the wider demands of working in property and taking responsibility for the experience around the content. We value clear communication, consistent delivery and genuine care for vendors, while bringing production, strategy and education into one working relationship.

Campaign Manager

What is Spotlight Campaign Manager?

Campaign Manager is Spotlight’s online booking and client portal at book.spotlightstudio.nz. It connects shoot bookings, campaign information, content access, feedback and approvals, giving clients a central place to manage their work with Spotlight.

How does booking through Campaign Manager work?

Clients choose their package and additional services, provide property and contact details, and request a suitable shoot date and time. Spotlight reviews the request and confirms the booking or proposes an alternative.

A requested time is confirmed only once Spotlight accepts it.

Can clients keep track of multiple campaigns?

Yes. The client portal separates active campaigns from booked campaigns, helping agents and teams see upcoming shoots, find current projects and identify content awaiting review.

How do clients access their photos and videos?

Clients use View files on the relevant campaign. Depending on the project’s delivery setup, this opens its Campaign Manager gallery or linked Google Drive folder.

Campaign Manager galleries organise delivered media into folders, with previews and download options so clients can find the content they need.

Can clients request changes and approve content?

Yes. Clients can submit feedback against a campaign, include supporting files and send multiple change requests together. They can also approve content through the portal, keeping feedback connected to the correct project.

Can agents share content with vendors?

For projects using Campaign Manager’s portal delivery, agents can create a property-specific vendor link. This gives vendors access to the media made available to them without needing a Spotlight account.

Vendor galleries are specific to the property being shared.

How does Campaign Manager help behind the scenes?

Campaign Manager connects booking details with Spotlight’s scheduling and production workflows. Packages, additional services, booking notes and agent details help the team understand what needs to be captured and delivered.

Scheduling considers factors such as shoot duration, travel, team availability and dusk timing. The result is a more coordinated process from booking through to delivery.
